Our History

Christ the Rock has a very humble beginning under our pastor's leadership, Dr. Carl R. Nelson, which manifests into continually blessed growth. On June 8, 2001, Christ the Rock's birth took place in a living room belonging to a loving family who opened their home for worship services. Six months into worship, our congregational growth supported the physical change of location to Foster Plaza in Olive Branch, MS. Since the first relocation, our Lord has blessed us with an increase in our membership, our church Ministry Staff, Deacon Board, and ministry supporting auxiliaries. Our current location at 9835 Goodman Rd, Olive Branch, MS, evolved from a divine driving experience that we have been enjoying for more than a decade which is why we are a warm-hearted church with a warm-hearted message! We are not a perfect church, but we do serve a perfect GOD!
